FIELD DAY AT SAN PASQUAL ACADEMY ORGANIC FARM ! 

Events:  Tour the garden areas and the new tangerine orchard.
Visit our Red Wattel Pigs "Thor and Athena", who are part of the Slow Food USA Ark program.   See the amazing facility that was built with funds raised at our 2007 Fourth Annual Taste of Slow Food San Diego.

Help: Work on projects in the garden, help harvest produce for a tasting at our pot luck lunch, plant seeds for our Fall crops and cultivate the soil.

Dress: Wear comfortable cloths layered for the cool morning and potentially warm mid-day. Bring sun-block and gardening gloves. 

Tools: garden tools that you would like to donate.  We always need hoe's for our students to help in weeding. Any extra tools will be donated by Slow Food San Diego to other School gardening programs.

Lunch: Please bring a picnic style pot-luck item and a beverage to share when we gather to taste organic produce and participants’ creations. We’ll talk about Urban gardening and Slow Food in the School programs in San Diego County during our lunch time ending feast.

Donation: $5.00 at the sign-in table to Slow Food San Diego of $ 5.00 . We will accept more too!
