On Saturday, July 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, a group of
volunteers will gather at Old Town State Park Native Plant
Garden to continue removing veldt grass and other weeds.
Bring a shovel or trowel or weeding tool, gloves, hat and sunscreen. There are bathrooms and water on site.
PARKING:
Park in the lot at the corner of Taylor St. and Calhoun Street. Get to it from Taylor (headed east) or if headed west on Taylor, turn left on Juan St. then right on Wallace St. then left on Calhoun and go through the gate in the cyclone fence.
Or take the trolley.
The garden is across the street from the Trolley Station and just north of McCoy House.
Your work is making a big difference. The garden looks great. Many plants have grown considerably since being planted April 12.
